OCTOBER 15, 2015 —  Norwalk, CT, headquartered tanker operator Heidmar,Inc. reports the unexpected passing of Marc La Monte of Wilton, CT.

Mr. La Monte passed away while on a business flight in Europe on the morning of October 14.
 
"Marc was a widely respected member of the international shipping industry for twenty seven years," says Heidmar. "He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Heidmar Inc. from April 2012. Prior to becoming CEO, Marc had been the Managing Director of Heidmar’s VLCC tanker pool, Seawolf Tankers. Before joining Heidmar, Marc spent 16 years at Overseas Shipholding Group in various positions, including vice president of OSG’s LNG tanker business. He was an associate member of the Association of Ship Brokers and Agents (USA), Inc."
 
Mr. La Monte is survived by his wife, three children and other family and friends.
