OCTOBER 21, 2013 — Cecon ASA reports that the first of the three construction vessels building for it at Chantier Davie Canada Inc., Lévis, Quebec, was successfully floated out, as scheduled, on October 19, 2013.

Those who have been following the saga of these ships may roll their eyes at Cecon's use of the words "as scheduled." When the vessels were first ordered, back in 2007, the entire series was scheduled to be delivered from the shipbuilder in 2009.

Be that as it may, the first of the three is set to be named Cecon Pride at an October 25 ceremony at the shipyard.
