Seatankers takes delivery of third PSV from Zhejiang

AUGUST 20, 2013 — John Fredriksen's Seatankers Group has taken delivery of Sea Forth, the third of twelve Ulstein PX105 design platform supply vessels on order at the Zhejiang shipyard in Ningbo, China. The X-bowed Seatankers comply with DNV Clean or Clean Design standards.

The vessels are being built using Ulstein design, engineering and equipment packages.

"In this project, Ulstein employees in Norway, Poland, Croatia as well as on site in Ningbo have teamed up for designing, engineering, commissioning and completion of the vessel," comments Project Manager in Ulstein Design & Solutions, Johannes Røren.

ZJ2015, Sea Forth, measures 88.9 m long and 19 m in the beam. She has a deadweight of 4,500 tonnes and a loading deck area of approximately 1,000 sq.m and is equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system. She is fitted with Azipull 100 propellers, and can reach speeds of 15.5 knots. '

Sea Forth has an electrical and automation package delivered by Ulstein Power & Controlhat includes the propulsion system, main switchboards, distribution switchboards, the communication system Ulstein Com, the bridge solution Ulstein Bridge and the automation system Ulstein IAS.
